Residents recognize priest for helping build community, call for sainthood

LORETTO, Pa. (WJAC) A Roman Catholic priest born of royalty helped form a community in modern-day Cambria County, not long after the inauguration of our nation's first president. Prince Demetrius Gallitzin was born Dec. 22, 1770 to a royal Russian family.

Two injured in incident at Motocross track in Huntingdon Co.

HUNTINGDON CO, Pa (WJAC) 911 officials say two people were injured in a crash at a Motocross track in Huntingdon County Saturday afternoon. Dispatchers say the incident occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday at Rocket Raceway in Clay Township.

DuBois couple charged for multiple armed robberies in Blair Co. with infant in car, police say

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) Authorities say a DuBois couple is behind bars following a pair of armed robberies in Blair County earlier this week. Police say Amber Herren and Joseph Mazza are accused of robbing the Unique Tobacco Store, located along Valley View Blvd. in Altoona, early Monday morning.

Grampian man killed, passenger injured following high-speed chase in Clearfield Co.

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) State police in Clearfield County say a Grampian man was killed over the weekend following a high-speed chase in Penn Township. Troopers say on Saturday, around 11:30 p.m., police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black SUV in the area of Windy Hill Road.
